Secrets of Their Success: Narragansett Brewing Company
Founded in 1888, Narragansett Beer has quenched thirsts for many generations of New England beer drinkers. After the Cranston brewery closed in 1981, many thought that the tradition had come to an end. A team of local investors, led by former juice executive Mark D. Hellendrung, bought the brand in 2005 with plans to expand market share and reinvigorate the Narragansett brand identity.

CEO, Mark Hellendrung, VP Marketing, Jim Crooks and Jeremy Duffy from Duffy and Shanley will join the Southeastern New England chapter of the American Marketing Association on November 28th to share their story... and their beer.
